BOARD OF ADVISORS
ROBERT L. HITCH, CPCU, ARe has over 40 years’ experience in the insurance industry in underwriting and management roles, serving as President and CEO of Mitsui Marine Management USA and prior to that as Divisional President at Great American Insurance Company. As a consultant, he has advised major international insurance organizations on business development, underwriting, and claims. He holds a BS from the University of Kentucky.
PATRICK SULLIVAN has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, as an underwriter at American Financial Group, a corporate attorney at the New York Law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton, and an investment banker at Marsh & McLennan Companies. From 2007 through 2014 he acted as Senior Advisor to Lightyear Capital LLC on their insurance investments, and during that period served on the Board of Directors of Lloyd's underwriter Antares Holdings Limited and US specialty insurer Houston International Insurance Group.
For seven years, he served as Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 43, Princeton, New Jersey, and from 2016 through 2018 he served as President of the Board of Education of Princeton Public Schools. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of The Learning Cooperatives, an organization dedicated to self-directed learning.
He holds a BA with honors from Carleton College and a JD from New York University School of Law.
JAMES L. ZECH is a co-founder and President of insurance private equity firm High Ridge Capital LLC, and has served in this position since its formation in 1995. Mr. Zech has served as a Director of Max Re Capital, the James River Group, Eastern Insurance Holdings, Front Royal Group, Acordia Inc., Old American Holdings, SelectQuote, Inc., and Insurance Data Systems.
From 1988 through 1995, Mr. Zech was an investment banker covering the insurance industry at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation, and S.G. Warburg & Co. Inc. From 1984 through 1988, Mr. Zech served as Corporate Secretary and Counsel, and later as Chairman and CEO, of American Independent Reinsurance Company. From 1982 through 1984, Mr. Zech was a corporate attorney with the New York law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.
Mr. Zech has a BS in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a JD from New York University School of Law (1982).
